YAY! A response from someone finally! Boy, this once great group has sure dwindled down from when I first joined.

I am also still here and I certainly share your feelings regarding the negative changes that this discussion group has undergone.
As a matter of fact, I am not aware of any good technical discussion group on this topic anywhere. I have looked on LinkedIn but all groups are filled with self promotions and I am really trying to find a "Technet kind of group" with a "you help me, I help him" atmosphere - if you know what I mean.

Could You please explain me what happened to this group?
I enjoyed so much being part of a technical community, where anyone could post questions and get assistance from some "stranger" with a good will.
This way, everyone benefitted and the discussion was purely technical.
And...although I was a tiny contributor, compared to You, but still got a chance to put in my two cents.
In the last couple of years I cannot find any worthy technical discussion group. Each group is filled with commercials only.
Has the era of "engineers helping each other" passed ?
